GLOVES UPDATE
Hey Everyone! I'm not Brad, and I am here to provide a WIP production update for everyone who has been following our development of this ECP project!! We are working hard to be making things!
Production Status

We have finalized the BOM list for our Alpha/Beta production, and paid for the parts that have long lead time. We are targeting 100 pairs of Alpha/Beta to be produced and distributed among our testers. We will start signing up Beta testers from our Discord server once the electronics goes into production.

Ruben has managed to catch a couple of bugs and we have made some improvements in PCB and software as well. One of them will be a way to notify the user when strong magnetic interferences are detected.

Our glove's prototype is made and sent over to Portugal! While it is not perfect, we are about 85%–90% there! Ruben is now trying to assemble the first Beta Prototype. This should be completed this week. We will have updates for that in our Discord.

Once Ruben is happy with the Beta Prototype, we will confirm it and put that PCB into production!

BTW, for @everyone's info, here's my attitude with regards to hacking or modding on our gloves:
We had a meeting internally about 3 weeks ago (Zoe, Ruben, Brad and I), and the whole team unanimously agreed that we don't have all the good ideas, and we are not going to be able to provide all the solutions for every single user-scenario. Some might use the gloves for sign-language, some might use it to DJ, some might be pole-dancers while someone might use it to strum a guitar or some might use it to....... 😊
So, the basic guidance here is this: We are providing a cheap, economic (US$250–280) and hopefully something that covers 70% of user-scenarios. It is also our aim to ensure that tracking and durability is of the EOZ Quality for those 70% of user-scenarios.
So, feel free to cut up the fabric gloves to fit your needs, mod it to fit your exo-skeleton, hack it to be vive-tracker compatible or even, use it together with Galaxy XR or Apple Vision Pro. After the official global release, we will make sure that you can buy spare parts economically to replace anything that you unintentionally or intentionally destroyed. Each of the finger-joints, each of the boards and each glove will be available to be purchased, and our idea is to do that affordably for everyone.
Also, if you have a great mod that will appeal to a good portion of the community, approach us and we will evaluate it, and put it into production so that folks will buy it on our store as well. (We will actually include you into ECP program!)
